  • You must have ideal character, be respectful, educated and honest with the public.
  • Study Srila Prabhupada’s books regularly in order to present the books on their own merit.

    • Best is adyacent small street in downtown.
  • Stopping people

    • Mantra sequence.

      • Ask for a donation, directing for a price and look at the eyes and be silent for a few seconds.
      • Close the interaction with a card and nice words.
  • While on sankirtan

    • Pray to Srila Prabhupada before start.
    • Meditate how you are the servant of the people.
    • Chant between persons.
    • Read a few lines of the book you are distributing.
  • ALWAYS have enough invitation cards.

  • Problems
    • People goes away at the “donation” part.
    • No proper cash/books ratio.
    • Little distribution.
    • What to say to the police and authorities.


  • Long term results are more important.
  • Quota

    • Quota must be both of time and quantity of books, whichever comes first.
    • Put yourself a number of books slightly over what you know you can do.
  • Think of your sankirtan as a conference that people assisted and payed for, but it is Srila Prabhupada‘s speaking!
